The Opportunity:
We are looking for a dynamic and dependable HR Administrator to join our team. You will be a point of contact for employees, customers, colleagues, and managers. This position plays an integral role as a team member in supporting all Human Resources activities. This multi-faceted position has responsibilities in employee relations, labour relations, employee documentation and special projects.
What you'll do:
Support the onboarding and off-boarding process through our HRIS;
Act as a first point of contact for employee relations across departments and respond to employee inquiries;
Handle confidential documentation, files and reports pertaining to human resources activities, including the maintenance, organization and storage of electronic employee files;
Create and maintain a variety of documents, including but not limited to employment verification letters, offer letters, amendment letters, reports and summaries;
Assist with the development and implementation of health and safety programs including tracking training and participation on the Health and Safety Committee;
Participate in HR related projects on an ongoing basis and championing our employee engagement activities;
Master the art of multi-tasking with various administrative duties including liaising with service providers.
Who you are:
Detail-oriented team player capable of working independently is essential to the role;
Goal-oriented, respectful of deadlines, with an ability to work under pressure and work with ambiguity;
Excellent interpersonal & communication skills, the ability to actively listen and resolve conflict and foster understanding is essential in this role;
Strong judgment grounded in facts and data;
Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint);
Experience working with HRIS systems (Dayforce preferred);
Completion of a post-secondary program with an emphasis in Human Resources;
A minimum of 2 years of experience working in Human Resources is preferred.
